Program

What if nothing works anymore?

TenneT is a leading European grid operator committed to providing a safe and reliable electricity supply 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Of course, there is still a very small chance that everything could go wrong. TenneT is, of course, preparing for such a blackout. In this presentation, Sebastiaan Barlagen of TenneT will discuss this in more detail.

How prepared is your organization if the power goes out for a few hours? What if it lasts longer?

Deep dive sessions

During the afternoon program, we will be holding deep dive sessions in two rounds. You can choose two options from the list below. We will try to schedule the sessions so that you can attend both. This will depend on the number of participants.

Session 1:
Resilience and Crisis Communication
During a Cyber Crisis

In this themed session, discover the essence of resilience and crisis communication during cyber crises. Learn about the various processes involved in the response phase and how they influence one another. All of this is illustrated with various real-world examples.

We’ll also delve deeper together into the topic of crisis communication during a cyber crisis.  We will examine the characteristics, challenges, and information needs that arise. In doing so, we will identify the impact of factors such as forensic investigation, IT recovery efforts, communication with cybercriminals, and legal aspects.

Session 2:
Cascade Model for Crisis Decision-Making

What is at stake during an extraordinary event? How do you determine how and to what extent you should prepare? How can you respond in a proportionate manner to a disruption of daily operations? What language do you use as a crisis team to quickly assess how serious the disruption actually is? How do you determine who should take on which responsibilities and which measures should be taken immediately or only at a later stage? And all within a few minutes because time is of the essence!

During this workshop, you’ll be given a tool to answer these questions for your own organization.

Session 3:
CrisisSuite

In this workshop, we’ll walk you through the latest updates to CrisisSuite there will be time to discuss future developments and learn from one another.
