Crisis documents are always available—even during an IT outage!

It is essential that documents such as crisis plans, task cards, and playbooks are always accessible to the members of your crisis organization. Paper-based plans quickly become outdated, and not everyone is always on-site to consult them.

So make sure your crisis documents are available in a digital format and kept up to date. You can do this using a document management system—such as Zenya or SharePoint—or using a crisis app, such as CrisisSuite.

Crisis documents must, of course, also be accessible if your organization's internal IT infrastructure fails, for instance, due to a cyber incident. Therefore, assess whether your crisis documents remain available if your document management system is inaccessible.

A quick tip: it is possible to link your document management system to a second software tool or app as a 'fall-back' option. Such a link synchronizes your crisis documents, meaning you only need to manage them within your primary document management system.
